General questions

Everything people ask before they start.

Maximize your time. It's your most precious resource. Outsourcing the planning, shopping and cooking reclaims it, and gives you top-tier expertise in your own kitchen. Here is how it all works.

Weekly chef service

What does a personal chef cost?

Weekly investment starts at $450 per week.

Invoices arrive the Monday after each service day through QuickBooks and are due on receipt. ACH bank transfer is free; cards carry a 3% processing fee. You can also enroll in automatic payments.

How do I get started?

Complete the intake form. You'll get a welcome note from Amber and your service agreement to sign from your phone. Then we build your personalized menu, match you with a chef, and schedule a quick call with Amber.

How is my chef chosen?

Chef assignment is the most special part of our process. We use many metrics to match you with the right chef, well beyond availability and where you live in the Valley. Your chef then coordinates the weekly menu with you directly.

Do I need to be home while the chef cooks?

No. Many clients provide access to the kitchen and come home to a full fridge. Some prefer to be home and enjoy watching. Either way works; we'll set it up on the call.

What if we have allergies or a specific protocol?

That's exactly what the intake form is for. Please list allergies, intolerances and restrictions for every member of the household, and update us if anything changes. Your chef cooks only with what you've chosen.

How long do meals stay fresh?

Most dishes are best within five to seven days. Your chef will tell you what freezes well.

What do I need to have in my kitchen?

A working stove and oven, fridge space, and reusable glass storage containers in a few sizes. You'll get a short Kitchen Checklist before your first service day, and your chef can order storage containers or supplies for you and add them to your next invoice.

Can I change dishes week to week?

Yes. Your chef confirms the next week's menu with you about 24 hours before each service day. That's the moment to swap, add or repeat favorites.

What if I need to pause or cancel?

Either of us can end service with fourteen days' written notice. If a service day has to be cancelled because the weekly menu wasn't confirmed, a $150 cancellation fee applies, so a quick reply to your chef keeps everything simple.

Do you deliver meals instead?

Our service is an elevated experience best executed in your home. Please ask about possible future delivery opportunities.

Intimate dinners and events

How much do intimate dinners cost?

More than just chefs, we are culinary enthusiasts. Let us provide your group with a meal that satisfies body, soul and taste buds. Intimate dinners start at $1,000. Larger events are quoted individually.

How do I book an event?

Book a 15-minute planning call on the event page and send us the details. Amber has them in hand on the call, so you go straight to the menu and the proposal. Once you're happy, you sign the event agreement and a 50% deposit reserves the date. The balance is due seven days before the event.

What is your cancellation policy for events?

Cancel fourteen or more days before the event for a full refund of payments made; seven to thirteen days before for a 50% refund; fewer than seven days, no refund. Nonrecoverable third-party costs or specially ordered items may be deducted.

Can you accommodate my guests' dietary needs?

Yes, that's our specialty. Please confirm the final menu and all known allergies in writing at least seven days before the event. We don't operate an allergen-free kitchen, so guests with severe allergies should be identified in advance.

Do you provide alcohol?

Not unless it's expressly included in your proposal. Most hosts handle the bar and we handle everything on the plate.

Ready when you are
